Four Necessities Of Throwing The Ultimate Tropical Party

Themed parties are a great way to show your employees that you care about the work they do and want them to have a little fun. Bring a taste of the tropics to your office with the ultimate tropical party. Step outside the box and onto the beach, but first, get these four necessities because it’s not the tropics without them.

Tiki Bar:

A tiki bar is a staple for tropical parties. You can hire a bartender or have one of your employees pour the drinks. You don’t have to serve alcoholic beverages, you can stick to tropical punches, juices, pop – the usual party drinks. If you do serve alcohol make sure that everyone is of legal drinking age. Also, set a drink limit or let employees use the company Uber account. People will have to drive home after the party and over-serving them could lead to accidents and liability on your part.

Artificial Palm Trees:

Bring a taste of the tropics to your office with palm trees. These make impactful decor and add some warmth to your office which will come in handy if you’re throwing this ultimate tropical party during the winter. You can also set up a photo station and let people take pics under the trees!

Treasure Chest:

Prizes! Prizes! Prizes! No office party is complete until someone wins something. With a treasure chest, you can fill it with whatever you like. After playing a game like the limbo, have the winner pick out a prize from the chest. It’ll encourage more participation and will get people excited about the next event. You can also hide the treasure chest and create a pirate themed scavenger hunt for your employees.

Tropical Food:

Go for big, bright fruits like pineapples and coconuts. Fish is tropical staple, but it isn’t exactly party food. Instead try food on skewers like fruit and vegetable kabobs, chicken and tofu for your vegetarian employees.

Although, sand seems like a good idea and is, of course, associated with the beach, stay away from it. Blanketing your entire office floor in sand or turning a designated area into a sandbox is going to be a lot to clean up after the party. Sand gets everywhere and unless you want to find it all over the office in the weeks following the bash, leave it on the beach where it belongs.
