Unique Rentals for an In-House Corporate Event

Corporate-led parties for employees often get a bad rap for being a waste of time, boring or just plain awkward. Part of this is because both employers and employees come to expect parties at certain times of the year. More than likely, you’ll have the same lackluster food and conversations at the annual Christmas party that you will anticipate at the summer cookout. Spice things up a bit at your next corporate party with some unique rental items that will be the talk of the office on Monday.

1. Photo-booths

This trend has been around for years but still has lots of appeal. Combining old-school photography with an actual printed image (your smartphone doesn’t do that yet!) leaves everyone with a physical memento to remember a fun time. And who can’t help taking a picture of their photo reel and posting it to Instagram?

2. Game rentals

Ping-pong anyone? Renting physical games like ping-pong, corn hole, foosball and table hockey can enliven any party. And remember old arcade games like Pac-Man and Skee-ball? They can add tons of fun, especially when combined with more modern sports simulation games. Adding a virtual reality element can also be a fun way to get everyone involved. All you need are a headset for each participant, a TV for other guests to watch and several participants willing to be part of the fun. Everyone gets to laugh along as the participant becomes immersed in his or her own virtual world.

3. Casino night

An ever-popular theme, a Vegas-style casino night is sure to be unforgettable. You can even go all-out with food, drinks and formal attire. Besides encouraging everyone to dress up, you can hire professional dealers and rent a variety of tables which could include games of poker, craps, blackjack and roulette. You can even use your company logo to brand the accessories you use.

4. Unique entertainment

Although musicians are a great choice to provide a festive atmosphere at a party, consider some out-of-the-box options. What about Santa at the Christmas party? Or a stand-up comedian or live-art performer? At the family-friendly summer cookout, hire a balloon artist, cartoonist or face-painter. See what artists are working in your city and provide some memorable entertainment for your fellow employees as well as support the local arts community.

Rentals can be a fun and inventive way to add pizzazz to your next corporate function. Who knew there were so many options? Use them to your advantage and everyone will be thanking you for the best corporate party ever.
